Duct Sealing Services in Charleston, SC
Let 3 Generations of Our Family Serve Your Family
Why Proper Duct Sealing Matters for Charleston Homes
At Carney and Son, we know your Charleston home is more than just walls and a roof, it’s where you and your family relax, entertain, and recharge.
Yet every year, for many families, their hard-earned money slips away through leaky ductwork. That’s money you could invest in beach trips, family barbecues, or simply lowering your monthly bills.
With our professional duct sealing services, you’ll enjoy:
- Lower energy costs by sealing leaky or damaged ducts, since typical homes lose 20–30% of conditioned air through leaks
- Consistent comfort throughout every room
- Healthier indoor air from reduced dust and pollutants
With three generations of experience in this community, we understand exactly what your system is up against.
The Charleston Context: Climate, Costs & Air Quality
Charleston’s coastal climate and historic homes create unique challenges:
High Humidity & Heat
- Summers average around 88–89°F with humidity often near 75%.
- Moisture in unsealed ducts can fuel mold and mildew, triggering allergies.
Salt Air & Corrosion
- Coastal salt spray accelerates metal duct corrosion, creating new leaks over time.
- Corroded seams reduce efficiency and strain HVAC systems.
Energy Bills on the Rise
- Studies show leaky ducts waste 20–30% of conditioned air.
- Sealing ducts helps reduce energy loss and improves overall system efficiency.
Indoor Air Quality Concerns
- Pollen, mold spores, and construction dust infiltrate leaky ducts.
- Poor air circulation can worsen asthma and allergy symptoms.
At Carney & Son, we tailor our duct services to Charleston’s coastal conditions. We use proven sealing methods, recommend duct repair or replacement when needed, and back our work with clear warranties. The result: more consistent comfort, healthier air, and greater efficiency for your home.
